After seeing the work of other students in class, i was allowed to rework the design Brief.
Taking into account the actual content of the story i wanted to visually represent what the concept of the article was about, yet still keep the work looking very simplistic.
I took the typical image of an iPod and decided o recreate it with words.
The reason i chose not to manipulate my original image was because acts perfectly as the screen for the ipod, or in this case the "texTPod"...
The headline in this case is used as the focal point around the screen and is read clockwise
"fabric could power your iPod"
I chose to use color on the first letter of each textual break. so that the reader would know where to start and then continue.
I also chose to leave a little bit of space on the "control panel" or the circular textual element.
I felt this gave room for the numerical elements and create a little bit of movement.
I used the weather information that was required as the numerical buttons, which worked out well.
Because we we're supposed to occupy 3 out of the 9 squares , bu not 3 in a row, i chose the one to the right and middle which i think also worked out well visually.
